    Working with Program in Medical Education leadership, the OEQI oversees the intersecting and cross-functional areas of student assessment, course and clerkship evaluation, program evaluation, faculty development, and the Academy of medical educators, and is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the quality improvement process, linking information gleaned from student, course, and program evaluations and assessment data with quality improvement and faculty development initiatives.

  • Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics

    The Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics seeks to advance teaching and research on ethical issues in public life. The Center stands at the core of what is now a well-established movement at Harvard and throughout the world that is giving ethics a prominent place in the curriculum and on the agenda of research. The Center encourages the activities of the professional schools, and provides a forum for university-wide communication and collaboration. Each of the faculties has begun its own courses and centers, and has developed its own group of scholars specializing in ethics. More than twenty fellows of the Center have gone on to hold teaching appointments at Harvard.

    HILT's fifth Annual Conference was held on Friday, September 30th in Wasserstein Hall. The event showcased varied interactive instructional approaches and considerations for Harvard in an evolving education landscape.

    The Harvard Initiative for Learning and Teaching Annual Conference was held on Friday, September 25th at Batten Hall. This year's event was constructed to build on prior themes, but reflect HILT's strategically phased approach to its work. Specifically, a shift from "launching and catalyzing" to "deepening and documenting" the impact of innovative teaching and learning.
