  • How digital education transforms residential teaching: Systematic analysis of faculty attitudes and experiences creating MOOCs

Awardees will synthesize instructors’ pedagogically relevant experiences and lessons learned making Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) and create a set of best practices.
  • Revision history analytics in service of analyzing the writing process

Awardees analyzed revision patterns in student writing, how they relate to activities within specific passages of a written text, and how revision-history analytics can play a role in supporting teaching and improvement in writing skills.
  • Bridging education research and practice using online learning modules

Awardees will explore the best-performing sequences of instructional materials in both controlled studies and in the context of real online courses.
  • Getting learners to AskUp: Enhancing education through learner-generated questions

Awardees will develop an online platform – “AskUp” – using evidence-based techniques to facilitate and enhance learning through learner-generated questions.
  • Explaining things differently: A Crowdsourcing approach

Awardees will build a crowdsourced repository of video tutorial explanations of key course topics.
  • Global Health Education and Learning Incubator

The Global Health Education and Learning Incubator at Harvard University inspires and supports innovative learning, teaching, and dialogue about cutting-edge, multidisciplinary global challenges.
  • Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Diversity

The Office of Faculty Development & Diversity is Harvard’s central faculty affairs office. We work with colleagues in the Schools to guide and coordinate policies and practices in all areas of faculty affairs, with the aim of increasing accountability and measurable progress in diversifying Harvard's faculty.  FD&D's main mission is to develop, implement, and evaluate University-wide programs designed to improve faculty life and diversity, and to collect, analyze, and disseminate data on faculty appointments.
  • HarvardX

HarvardX collaborates with faculty to develop online courses and modules, and launch, study, and reuse them in residential teaching.
