Pan-Asian Coalition for Education (PACE)
The Pan Asian Coalition for Education (PACE) recognizes the need to address issues of education amongst students of Pan Asian descent. The purpose of PACE is to serve the local Pan Asian community, to support and develop as a community within HGSE, and to raise awareness of Pan Asian issues within education and social justice to the wider HGSE and Harvard community -
HDS Low Income Student Advocates
HDS students helping low-income Harvard students navigate their place at the institution and assisting individuals with basic necessities. -
HDS Prison Education Project
HDS Prison Education Project (HPEP) partners with Partakers and Boston University's College Behind Bars Program to provide academic mentoring for students pursuing a college degree while incarcerated at MCI Norfolk. -
GSD/HKS Community Development Project (CDP)
CDP is a joint student group comprised of students from the Graduate School of Design and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Participating students are Masters or Doctoral candidates in any range of degree programs at the GSD and HKS. Throughout the course of the year, students work collaboratively on 1 – 2 projects in the Greater Boston and New England region. CDP members have skills and interests, including: creative strategies for community and civic engagement, innovative urban policy and planning interventions, architecture and urban design, or research and writing. CDP works directly with local governments, organizations, and community members to develop a dynamic work-plan and a clear deliverable for the course of a semester or school year. -
AfricaGSD
Development Conference : The Harvard African Development Conference brings together distinguished players working towards Africa’s development. At each conference, among other roles, AfricaGSD organizes a city-focused panel at the conference, drawing eminent architects, property developers, academics and urban planners to discuss Africa's urban past, present and future. The theme for the 2016 conference was The African Renaissance: Re-imagining engagement and opportunities and was organized in collaboration with student groups from various Harvard University schools: Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Harvard Law School, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard College. -
Harvard Program for International Education (HPIE)
The Harvard Program for International Education aims to expose high school students to contemporary and historical global issues and prepare them to think critically about modern-day politics through tutoring and mentoring. -
Food Literacy Project (FLP)
The Food Literacy Project (FLP) cultivates an understanding of food from the ground up. Education focuses on four integrated areas of food and society: sustainability, nutrition, food preparation and community. Ultimately, the project goal is to promote enduring knowledge and engagement in all aspects of our food system. -
Harvard College Project for Justice
The Harvard College Project for Justice is dedicated to the awareness and advocacy of issues surrounding injustice in the criminal justice system by organizing teach-ins, speaker events, discussions, and public conferences. -
Harvard College Japan Initiative
Its mission is twofold: to connect Harvard Students with opportunities in Japan (summer camps, internships, WinterSessions etc), and to introduce Japanese students to the liberal arts education in the U.S. It also aims to promote the exchange of ideas and perspectives among Harvard students, Harvard faculty more widely, between students in the U.S and students Japanese students through discussions about political and social issues surrounding U.S.-Japan relations. -
Harvard College Association for US China Relations (HAUSCR)
HAUSCR gives Harvard Students the opportunity to engage with Chinese high school students to engage in collaborative learning, leadership, and entrepreneurship education, and cross-cultural exchange through three annual conferences.
