This panel will feature three learning design initiatives across Harvard:

  • Michael Davis and Sara Makiya (DCE): Designed an interactive, web-based platform that combines maps, multimedia, and narrative. This template helped students in the ENVR S-194: Resilient Communities from the Ground Up course organize and present their research in an engaging, accessible format for use in real-world advocacy.
  • Christine Foulkes (HBS): HBS Online will share key insights into the design and implementation challenges that HBS Online faced while creating a year-long fully asynchronous credential — such as the assumptions that shaped the initial design, how learner feedback informed structural changes, and how their team is striving to find the sweet spot between structure and flexibility.
  • Caroline Freitas (HMS): Harvard Catalyst’s Mentorship in Clinical and Translational Research guide, a digital tool that empowers mentees and mentors at all career stages to maximize their mentoring relationships and grow their networks. This dynamic resource can be utilized for self-reflection or implemented within formal mentoring relationships or structured mentoring programs.
