HILT hosts small lunch and dinner discussions with faculty and academic professional staff from across the University with the goal of surfacing ideas and perspectives related to timely topics in teaching and learning. Attendees are encouraged to share their challenges, questions, and interests about teaching at Harvard, and to forge professional connections with fellow attendees. Recently, participants have engaged in thoughtful conversations regarding topics such as:

  • Approaches to Teaching and Learning with (or in Resistance to) GenAI;
  • Examining Takeaways and Recommendations from theClassroom Social Compact Committee; and
  • The Intersection between short Form content and Deep Learning

Insights from these conversations inform the planning and organization of HILT’s portfolio of activities. Over 400 faculty and 120 academic professional staff have participated to date.
