From Text to Talk: Creative Teaching Conversations with Pre-Texts

We are delighted to invite you to an upcoming event hosted jointly by HILT and the Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard (RCCH).

Visiting RCCH fellow Dr. Núria Hernández Nanclares, Associate Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Oviedo, and Dr. Doris Sommer, Ira Jewell Williams, Jr., Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures (Spanish) and in African and African American Studies at Harvard will provide an engaging, hands-on workshop on the use of “Pre-texts” for facilitating open dialogue in challenging conversations. This unique pedagogy employs close reading and critical thinking skills by making art based on challenging texts.
