##  What We Do 

The Harvard Initiative for Learning & Teaching (HILT) is a university-wide strategic program established through a generous gift from Gustave and Rita Hauser, to **catalyze innovation in teaching and learning at Harvard**. HILT develops programs for faculty and staff across all Harvard schools. Our events and professional networks offer cross-disciplinary conversations and activities that equip educators with innovative teaching strategies, meaningful connections, and practical tools to enhance learning. Beyond programming, we curate and promote university-wide resources that empower educators to enhance their teaching and learning.

 

 



 ### Build Communities Across Silos

We foster ongoing cross-School connections and the cross-pollination of ideas and advancements by regularly convening the Harvard Teaching and Learning Consortium (TLC) and its Affinity Groups around shared teaching and learning goals.



 

 ### Convene University-wide Events

We regularly bring Harvard’s teaching and learning community together through events and an annual conference that spark connections, timely dialogues, and shared growth around University-wide educational priorities.



 

 ### Surface Innovative Resources

Our curated resource collection shares tools, guides, and insights from past events and our former grants program to extend the impact of our community’s work and encourage ongoing collaboration and innovation in teaching and learning across Harvard.
